Sign Up For & Reactivate NJ TRANSIT Student Passes

The NJ TRANSIT Mobile Student program provides full-time students with discounted passes to NJ TRANSIT. After your first enrollment, you will need to reactivate your account at the start of each semester through myStevens. Once your account is active, your student pass can be purchased and accessed from the NJ TRANSIT mobile app (iOS | Android). You can learn more on the Transportation & Parking webpage.

Note: Monthly passes may be purchased starting at 5:00 p.m. on the 19th of the preceding month through the 10th of the month that the pass is valid (for example, one can purchase a February pass starting at 5:00 p.m. on January 19 through February 10).

Access NJ TRANSIT Student Portal

To access the NJ TRANSIT Student Pass portal, log in to myStevens (my.stevens.edu) and click Transportation & Parking. Then, click NJ TRANSIT STUDENT PASSES.

You will be brought to the NJ TRANSIT Student Passes web portal. From this page, you can enroll in the NJ TRANSIT Mobile Student program or reactivate your account.

Click "Enroll" to enroll in th NJ TRANSIT Mobile Student program, or "Login" to reactivate your account.

Enroll in the NJ TRANSIT Mobile Student Program

On the NJ TRANSIT Student portal from the previous steps, click Enroll. A registration page will open, which is where you can enter your name, Stevens email address, create an account password, and the ZIP code of your home address. When you are finished, click Register. You will get a confirmation email instructing you to verify your account. Afterward, you will receive another email with instructions on how to download the NJ TRANSIT mobile app (iOS | Android) and purchase your discounted student pass.

Note: Your NJ TRANSIT student account password does not need to be the same as your myStevens password.

Enter your information to enroll in the NJ TRANSIT Mobile Student program.

Reactivate your NJ TRANSIT Student Account

To reactivate your account, click Login on the NJ TRANSIT Student portal as described in the previous steps. Sign in with your Stevens email address and NJ TRANSIT account password. After signing in, you will be prompted to re-verify your status as a student by confirming access to your Stevens email address. Follow the on-screen prompts to reactivate your account. Upon completion, you may return to the NJ TRANSIT mobile app and purchase a discounted student pass.
