Connection Instructions
Step 1 - Enabling Your Wireless
Turn on your wireless adapter, there may be a physical button on your computer if you are using a laptop.
Step 2 - Wireless Networks
In the lower right corner of your screen, click on the networking icon as pictured below

Step 3 - Selecting Your Network
At this point a list of available wireless networks will appear

Click on the network labeled Skyline. Then press the corresponding Connect button that appears.
Step 4 - Enter Your Credentials
When prompted for your credentials please enter your Stevens username and password which should be the same as you use to access MyStevens and your Stevens Email.

Step 5 - Confirm you are connecting to the correct network
The image below shows the warning message which should appear, click Connect

You should now be connected to the Skyline wireless network.
Step 6 - Manually Connecting to the Wireless Network
These steps should only be followed if steps 1-5 did not result in a successful connection to the Skyline Wireless Network.
Open the Network and Sharing Center. You can do this by hitting the windows button and typing Network and Sharing Center, or click on the wireless icon in the bottom right hand corner, and click "Open Network and Sharing Center".
Step 7 - Manually Add A Network
Once the Network and Sharing Center opens, click on the link, Set up a new connection or network. This will open the Set up a new connection or network window.

Step 8 - Manually Connect to a Wireless Network
Once the Set up a new connection or network window has opened, highlight the Manually Connect to a Wireless Network option and click the Next button in the lower right section of the window.

Step 9 - Enter Wireless Network Information
After clicking the next button, you will be met with a screen in which basic network information will need to be specified. Fillout the fields as follows:
Network name: Skyline
Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption type: AES
Leave the field to the right of the Security Key specification blank and make sure the box to the left of Start this connection automatically is checked. Then click on the Next button.

Step 10 - Change Connection Settings
On the next screen click on the button that states Change connection settings. This will open the Skyline Wireless Network Properties window.

Step 11 - Skyline Wireless Network Properties
Once the Skyline Wireless Network Properties window has opened, click on the Security tab toward the top of the window. After the Security tab has opened, click on the Settings button in the center right of the window. This will open the Protected EAP Properties window.

Step 12 - Protected EAP Properties
After the Protected EAP Properties window has opened, click on the Configure... button towards the lower right section of the window. This will open the EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties window.

Step 13 - EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties
This window contains a single check box. If your computer is a campus domain machine (meaning you log in to the computer using your Stevens credentials), the box should be checked. If it is not a campus domain computer, the box should not be checked. Once finished. Click the OK button on the EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties window. Next click on the OK button on the Protected EAP Properties window.

Step 14 - 802.1x Configuration
Back in the Skyline Wireless Properties window, under the Security tab, click on the Advanced Settings button. This will open the Advanced Settings window.

Step 15 - 802.1x Authentication Mode
In the Advanced Settings window, click on the 802.1x settings tab. Make sure the box next to Specify authentication mode: is checked. From the drop down menu directly below the previously checked box, select User authentication and click on the Save credentials button directly to the right. This will open the Windows Security window.

Step 16 - Enter your Stevens Domain Credentials
Once the Windows security window opens, enter your Stevens username in the Username field and enter your Stevens account password in the password field. Then click on the OK button.

Next click on the OK button in the Advanced Settings window. Then click on the OK button in the Skyline Wireless Network Properties window. And finally click on the Close button in the Manually connect to a wireless network window.
Once finished repeat steps 1-5.
