About VOIP and Cisco Jabber at Stevens

Stevens has been using Cisco Jabber for VoIP communications since 2016. Jabber includes instant messaging, voice and video communication. Jabber runs on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices.

Note to use Jabber Off Campus please connect to Global Protect VPN first.


Voice Mail on Desk Phones


In order to access and delete voice mails on your desk phone, you will need your voice mail password. Please refer to this article on how to access your voice mail box. 

 If you do not have your voice mail password, please contact User Support Services here. You can also call us at 201-380-6599 or email support@stevens.edu for help regaining access to your voice mail.

Alternatively, you can search for messages from Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System in your Stevens Inbox. Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System is a service that transcribes your voice mails into email format and sends it to your Stevens Inbox. Deleting these messages from your Stevens Inbox will delete the corresponding voice email. If this search doesn't show any results in your Stevens Inbox, please contact User Support Services so that this feature can be activated on your account.

Resetting a Stevens-Issued Phone
