Introducing Stevens AppSpace, hosted by Apporto

We are excited to offer this new secure, cloud-based virtual desktop solution for your courses! This tutorial has been created as your first introduction to Stevens AppSpace and will showcase its many features and functionality to help you navigate. You will be able to log into Stevens AppSpace hosted by Apporto directly at https://appspace.stevens.edu from anywhere and on any device.

Virtual Desktops and Applications inside Stevens AppSpace

Stevens AppSpace hosts both Windows and Linux (CentOS and Ubuntu) desktops, along with various software applications.

Below is a list of what will be available for Fall 2021:

  • Granta CES Edupack is available as a stand-alone application.
  • Windows based desktops
    • Engineering Desktop will have SolidWorks, Comsol, Creo 7, Dynacam, Flashprint, Labview, Linkages, MatLab, Mimics, Tanner Tools, Truss Analyzer, Arena, Ansys, and Office installed.
    • Statistics Desktop will have SAS, R, Eclipse for Java, and Office with the S&P 500 Office plug-in installed.
    • General Windows Desktop will have AspenPlus, ChemDraw Prime, Mathematica, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio installed.
    • Adobe Creative Cloud suite desktop.
  • Linux based desktop
    • Ubuntu has Docker and Python installed.

* Additional applications will be evaluated and added on an ongoing basis. To request additional applications, please submit a request to support@stevens.edu.
