How to Open a Shared a Calendar using Outlook

Instructions

You can open a shared department calendar or someone else's calendar in Outlook.

The amount of information you see on that calendar is determined by your level of permission. You may even be able to add appointments to that user's calendar.

Step #1

Open your calendar and click the three dots all the way to the left of the toolbar, then click Add > Open Shared Calendar.

Step #2

Type the name of the shared calendar you would like to open.

The calendar(s) can now be found under "Shared Calendars" in the side bar.

Your personal calendars will appear side-by-side with any shared calendars you have added into your Outlook.

You also have the option to "overlay" other(s) calendars over yours.by clicking the arrow on the top bar of the shared calendar.
