If you ever forget your password or your current password has expired, you have two ways to reset it and create a new one on your own. This article covers resetting your password using a PIN Code and by answering your security questions.
Start by Accessing the Account Password Management Portal
The Account Password Management Portal provides direct links to various account settings. This page allows you to change your password and update your account info, reset your password, and recover your username.
You can access this page by navigating to www.stevens.edu/password, or by clicking "Forgot your password?" on the Stevens Single Sign-On page:

This option is secure and convenient, as it will send a one-time temporary PIN code to your recovery email or phone number that can be used to reset your password.
What you need to reset your password using a PIN code:
- From the Account Password Management Portal, click Reset your password using a PIN code.

- Enter your CWID and Username where specified, and check the box indicating you agree to receive a single text message with a PIN code. Then, click Submit.

- Choose how you would like to receive a one-time temporary PIN code: in a text message sent to your recovery phone, in an email sent to your recovery email address, or both. Then click Send Pin.

A confirmation window will appear. Click Close and proceed to the next step.
- Check your phone/inbox for a new message. Take note of the PIN.

- Return to the password reset page and enter that PIN. Click Validate.

- Enter a new password that satisfies the requirements listed in the table on the right. Retype the password to confirm, then click Reset Password. Your password has successfully been reset for all Stevens services.

What you need to reset your password using your security questions:
- From the Account Password Management Portal, click Reset your password using security questions.

- Enter your myStevens username and click Submit.

- Enter the answers to the security questions displayed. If you are unsure of an answer, click Shuffle Questions at the bottom to display three of your five security questions. Once complete, click Submit.

Enter a new password that satisfies the requirements listed in the table on the right. Retype the password to confirm, then click Reset Password. Your password has successfully been reset for all Stevens services.
