Below are steps for importing events and appointments from Google calendar and importing into a new Outlook calendar. If you need a calendar for department purposes, please call User Support Services to request setup for a new department shared calendar.

Step 1: Export your Google Calendar
Log into your Gmail account and open Google Calendar.
On the left side of the page, find the "My calendars" section. You might need to click to expand it.

Go to the calendar you want to export, click the more button "
".
Click "Settings and sharing."

Under Calendar Settings, click "Export calendar".

An ICS file of your events will start to download.

Now you're ready to import your Google Calendar into Outlook.
Step 2: Import your Google Calendar to Outlook
For instructions on how to import your Google Calendar to Outlook on your desktop and online watch this video or follow the steps below:

In Outlook on your desktop (Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016), go to your Calendar.

Choose File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

In the Import and Export Wizard, choose Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file, and then choose "Next".

Browse to where you stored the extracted file, and choose the one that ends with gmail.com, and choose "OK".

Click "Import".

Go to your Outlook calendar. You should now see your Google Calendar events there.
