Troubleshooting issues in the VLE

Below are resolutions to well-known issues a user may encounter when working in the VLE. If you experience a problem that is not documented on this page, please contact User Support Services at ext. 5500 or feel free to visit us at the TRAC, located at the entrance of the Library.


ISSUE - I have a Mac, but I am having problems installing the Citrix Workspace App.

RESOLUTION - Below are a few steps to try:


  • Make sure that your Mac OS is up to date. The Workspace app is compatible with:
    • macOS Mojave (10.14)
    • macOS High Sierra (10.13)
    • macOS Sierra (10.12)
    • Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11)



ISSUE - I cannot log back into the VLE after I shutdown my laptop.

RESOLUTION - Sometimes when a person is working in the VLE on their laptop during class. Once class is finished, an individual closes the lid on their laptop, goes to a different location on campus, and then tries to log back into the VLE.


  • Be sure to sign out of the VLE properly before closing your laptop lid.
    • Click your name at the top right hand corner and click Log Off.
