How to setup automatic replies for a shared mailbox

How to setup an automatic reply message for a shared mailbox in Office 365:

  1. Log into https://webmail.stevens.edu with your Stevens email address as your username, and enter your Stevens password.
  2. Click on your name in the top right hand corner, and then choose Open another mailbox. A pop-up box will appear, type the email address of your shared mailbox and click Open.
  3. The shared mailbox will open in a new tab in your internet browser window. Click on the gear icon and a menu will appear. Scroll to the bottom and click on View all Outlook settings.

  4. A menu will appear. In the middle, click on Automatic replies.
  5. Click the toggle to turn on automatic replies and then type the message you want to send for individuals sending email to this shared mailbox.
  6. After typing and proofreading your message, click Save at the top right hand corner. Your automatic reply is now set up.
