Basic Trouble Shooting Tips:

No image displaying from projector:

-Make sure cables are not damaged, if they are please contact User Support Services at support@stevens.edu or 201-380-6599.

-Please make sure your laptop is set to Duplicate mode (PC setting) or Mirror display (Mac setting).

-Make sure the correct source is selected on the touch panel.

Cannot dial out from Audio Conference:

Make sure you dial 7 and then 1 before dialing the number 

No Audio from the speakers:  

-For VGA Connection, make sure the audio cable is secure in the connection wall plate and the laptop.

-Check audio settings on laptop to see if CRESTRON is selected when using HDMI, Headphones should be selected for VGA.

Cannot Connect to Camera:

-Please make sure the USB cable is plugged into the correct port directly under the network port.

-Make sure the correct camera, Extron Media Port, is selected in your video conference settings. 

Wireless Microphones Not Working:

-Check to make sure the microphone is not muted on the Microphone menu page.

-Check on the Microphone to see if the switch is turned to ON position. 

-Check to see if battery is dead. 

Cannot Connect to Solstice Wireless Presentation:

-Please make sure you are on the SKYLINE network, Solstice is available to Faculty, Staff, and Students. 

-For iPad users, please make sure you have selected Screen Mirroring option.

-Please make sure you are typing in the correct four-digit key code, a new code is created every time you are disconnected.

Touch Panel Controls

Touch screen to bring up options screen.

 

Presentation

Select Presentation Button to open Presentation options. Select your desired presentation source. 

 

Microphone Control 

To adjust Microphone levels select Microphone Tab on the left hand side of the panel. Them select appropriate microphone to adjust. To mute Audio/Video Conference press Master Mute button on the right hand side of the panel. 

 

Camera Controls

Select Camera self-view located at the top right of screen to align desired camera angle. Align camera angle by using the presets or by using the directional arrow pad. Once your desired angle is set, select podium presentation, then select your desired source to proceed with laptop/device projection. Camera tracking will only follow one presenter at a time. Camera self-view is located at the top of every page. Plug in USB cable at the podium into a laptop to use camera for Video Conferencing.

 

Audio Conference

Dial 7 then 1, and then the desired phone number to place a call. All microphones and audio in the room will be heard through this feature. To mute audio conference, press Audio Conf Privacy located at the top right corner on the touch panel.

 

Room Recording (Located at the podium)

Insert USB flash drive to record sessions. Recommended 16-64GB minimum to record a lecture or session. Press record when ready (REC will flash red indicating record mode is active.) When finished, press stop and remove USB flash drive. All microphones and audio in the room will be heard through this feature.

 

Zoom Settings

Zoom Camera Settings

Open Zoom settings then select VIDEO tab located on the left hand side of the screen. Select the camera, Extron Media Port, from the drop down menu. ***CAMERA NAME MAY VARY FROM ROOM TO ROOM***

Zoom Audio Settings

Open Zoom settings then select AUDIO tab located on the left hand side of the screen. Select the Microphone and SPEAKER labeled Extron Media Port, from the drop down menu. ***MICROPHONE AND SPEAKER NAME MAY VARY FROM ROOM TO ROOM*** Testing your selected options is highly recommended.
